THE BOOK OF KRISHNA

the book of krishnaIf there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life, it’s that sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone, start saying “yes” to change, try new things and be adventurous. Okay, that’s four things, but whatever. I’m not saying that you should quit your job, move to a tropical island and live a carefree life, but why not do something different once in a while? And that’s the story of how we ended up living at the Krishna Temple.
I’m not a religious person by any means (don’t confuse religion and spirituality), but I’m always open to new experiences. When we heard about volunteering opportunity at the Krishna Temple in Utah, we knew right away we couldn’t miss such a chance. I knew nothing about Krishnaism before and didn’t know what to expect. Daily yoga and meditation, delicious vegetarian food, interesting people from around the world, beautiful mountains and natural hot springs – I have to say, it turned out to be one of the coolest things I’ve done so far.

        Hi Anna,

I am curious.. were you guys provided accommodation by Krishna during your volunteering or did you rent something on your own?

        I would appreciate your feedback!
        Thanks,
        Anya

  4. […] vibe. The streets are always filled with people, and we had to get used to it after living at the Temple for almost a month and a half. For two weeks we stayed on Bainbridge Island, just a short ferry […]
