POSTCARDS FROM ARGENTINA

postcards from argentinaI don’t like going back to places that I’ve already been to. There are just so many beautiful cities and countries I haven’t been to yet and I would rather visit them than go somewhere I’ve been before. But Argentina is an exception. I know for sure that someday I’ll be back. Not only because I completely fell in love with the country, but also because we had so little time there and didn’t get to see much.
We spent few days in Mendoza, one of the eight World Wine Capitals. Argentina is famous for its wine and beef, but since I don’t like either of those things, Mendoza didn’t impress me much. Nature there is incredible, though, and we had fun time hiking in the mountains. After Mendoza, we headed to Argentina’s capital and one of my favorite cities in the world – Buenos Aires. It reminded me of both Paris and New York at the same time, and I just loved everything about it. It’s is a big bustling city and every neighborhood there is so unique and different from one another, cool and fun in is own way.
Buenos Aires is often called “The Paris of South America”, and I really felt like I was in a European city there. The architecture is beautiful, and everywhere you look you see yet another gorgeous building. I would love to come back and stay for at least couple months because those ten days that we’ve spent in Buenos Aires weren’t enough for me to enjoy the city and see all of it.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Buenos Aires and Argentina right now, triggered by re-discovering certain telenovelas 😀 After looking at these photos and reading your comments, I feel more content now, that my obsession is not as “completely unfounded or fictional” as some might say. It is so so beautiful! It’s such a perfect balance of old and new, art and history, and nature. I can just imagine myself strolling through those streets in complete peace. I’ll shut up now 😀 You are so lucky to have visited all these places in South America. Definitely a trip of a lifetime and something completely out of this world beautiful!

    • Argentina is amazing, you should definitely go there when you get a chance! Make sure you go to Buenos Aires and Patagonia (from what I’ve heard, it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world).
This trip was definitely one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait for the next one already 😀
